Colourful Noemi Crystal Ring

I'm making a post on this ring not because I am particularly fond of it but because christmas is around the corner.

So this blog may be 'tainted' with a number of jewelry records that shouldn't be here.

This Noemi crystal ring with pave butterfly overlay "features a pretty tanzanite-coloured swarovski crystal, which is pave set, and there's also aurora borealis-coloured swarovski crystals on the wings. This colourful ring comes in a shining rhodium-tone finish, measures about 3cm x 2cm"

Its the sort Debbie goes for so it may go into the shopping list except for a few minor details:

  • at 45 sterling pounds before shipping fee, I'll need to share this with another friend... or two?
  • the size comes in L, M and P. What the hack is that? I only know that ring sizes come in numbers. This is new. I have written to them for clarification.
So, Debbie are you a L, M or P? LOL

Rant and Puzzled

I'm not sure that is a useful post.

I need to rant and vent a little and I want to record my puzzlement.

Found this blue Metallic Butterfly Earrings from Stewart's online store. The photograph was really small from the original page and looked very appealing.

I clicked on some links meaning to place an order and was directed here and there until I was at this Body Candy Body Jewelry web site. So should I have ordered I don't know whose customer I am.

This whole arrangement was just strange. I really don't think I want to be a part of this.

What got me puzzled was when I have access to the enlarged photograph, I lost all interest. It doesn't look good when it is big. I am really puzzled why that is so.

Reasons for Blue Jewellery

Looked at the page on blue and dark blue jewellery again.

After surfing around, looking at blue jewellery on several websites, I've decided that although I find them likeable, blue as a dominant colour for jewellery probably isn't going to be my favourite.

I am aware that blue is the favourite colour for most people, and I began to wonder if I am a little weird?

Hmmm, probably not. I do not dislike blue. I just don't like it as much as some other colours.

The webpage mentioned several wonderful qualities of blue and I appreciate reading about them and it mentioned certain points that I should still give some thought about blue jewellery:

  • I may want to colour match

  • I may be looking for a gift that has a good chance of being appreciated
So, my bookmarks and posts should still come in handy when I intend to gift a friend some nice blue jewellery.

A 'Paua Shell' bracelet?

Amy sent me the URL of a blue Paua Shell dolphin with ring bracelet and asked for my opinion if she should go ahead to buy it.

Somehow, unintentionally I have gained a reputation of a jewelry expert. Heh, Heh.

But of course I'm not.

What I am concerned with is that the Paua Shell may not be genuine.

I have spoken in detail with a shopkeeper before and he commented that there are so called Paua Shells that are imitations.

The colourful, non-uniform marble like patterns on the 'shells' are achieved chemically.

And looking closely at the enlarged photograph and the price, the 'Paua Shell' in this bracelet should fall under this category.

But if Amy doesn't mind it is not genuine and like it anyway, then why not?

(I have removed the link just in case the website owner is unhappy with my comments)

Curious Peacock Blue Pearls

This necklace caught my attention because Lory has mentioned Peacock blue pearls before... or was it something that sounded like Peacock blue pearls?

I still don't know what they are and clicking the image of this Peacock blue pearl necklace doesn't lead to a bigger image correctly.

Interestingly, it is mentioned that they are genuine pearls. I wonder if those are some kind of fresh water pearls???

Doesn't look like it. My curiosity is certainly aroused.

Interesting Pink Jewellery Webpage

Here's another interesting pink jewellery webpage .

Have been looking at quite a few websites featuring pink jewellery lately.

First of all, I have to declare that I am not obsessed with pink. It is one of my favourite colours. But then I have several.

Pink is a pretty colour but it is not a comfortable experience for me to go all pink. So, pink jewellery and accessories are more practical.

This webpage is a good resource for reminding me the charateristics and effect of pink and pink jewelery. There are even colour matching tips for wearing pink.

It's good to have found people and webpages that know what it is about to wear pink jewellery.

A Colorful Silver Slide Jewelry

Since my focus is now on colorful jewelry, does that mean I have turned my back on gold and silver for good?

No. The way I see it, silver and gold are colors too.

What I may have turned my back on are silver and gold jewelry that is plain and without other complementary colors.

Take this 925 silver slide with colorful inlay for example, whether on a silver neckwire or a leather cord, this slide brings color and interest to any plain necklace.

Pink Themed Jewelry

Looking at this webpage about pink themed jewelry got me thinking quite a bit.

The complementary colors used are primarily orange, green and blue.

As orange is a very warm color, paring it with cheerful pink is nice but tend to push the color scheme to an overheated extreme.

Personally, I would consider this option but will want to be careful if I will look too warm and eye catching.

Both blue and green can work quite well with pink. Which is better? I would say green.

The other thought I have is the overuse of complementary colors can produce an uncoherent effect which I don't like.

I am quite interested in one pair of Antique Gold Hinged Loops earrings in the webpage.
